Lochore Meadows Triathlon

June 17th 2012

The Lochore Sprint is run over the original Bruce triathlon course and is an ideal introductory event for those new to open water swim events.
The swim distance of 750 metres, the enclosed nature of Lochore and the good safety cover offer a friendly swim environment.
The cycle course with all left turns is as safe as any event and the run, entirely within the Country Park is mostly on paths and is virtually traffic free.

In addition good facilities exist at the park with many attractions for the non competing family supporters.

The ‘Standard’ distance will be a tough, but very rewarding challenge for those wanting to test themselves, and also for experienced racers.

The Southern Cross
Cyclocross/ MTB Sportive

July 22nd 2012

The course is 60km, mostly
off-road. Approx 1200m of climb across 4 significant climbs (and subsequent descents!).
The course is based on the Southern Upland
Way long distance path, and the Duchess' Drive in Bowhill Estate.
It's a great and engaging mix of ancient drove roads, superb twintrack, and a good chunk of technical singletrack for good measure. The CX purists will be happy - there are a couple of short 'carry' sections for all but the very strongest.

Craggy Island Triathlon

September 8th 2012

Unique in the UK and probably the World, the Craggy Island Triathlon will have you swimming across the sound from the mainland to an island to start your race. How cool is that?.

The island in this case is the rugged spectacular and completely unspoilt Isle of Kerrera, just off the West coast of Scotland near the busy town and harbour of Oban.

The race is entirely off-road (there are no roads on the island, so there’s not much choice about that), and will take you from sea level to the highest point of the island.
