SWIM 2011 WITH THE TRI CENTRE...

Wetsuits:

We stock a good range of wetsuits from 2XU and  Sailfish.  We can also help you to find exactly the right size with our extensive knowledge of fit.

You can rent wetsuits from The Tri Centre. £40 buys a weekends or event hire and if you choose to buy a suit after you get the bug we will knock the £40 off the price of a new suit. Please call 0131 662 8777 or use our online rental system here for details.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS FINISHED FOR 2011:

Our Wednesday night sessions started on May 4th in Threipmuir Reservoir.
We will be there this year on May 25th, June 8th and 29th, July 6th and 20th, August 3rd, 17th and 31st

So far the weather has been against us but the turnout has been consistently about 50.

TRY BEFORE YOU BUY:

We bring a fleet of Orca loan suits in a range of both Men's and Women's sizes which can be borrowed free of charge.

Please get there as early as possible to avoid disappointment - or perhaps a cold, wet suit!

We usually arrive around 6.30pm and stay until approximately 8pm.

Info: Wetsuit Fitting

There is a knack to getting the right fit for your wetsuit and we can help...

When fitting a suit use plastic bags on your feet and hands to help ease the rubber over sticky skin and to reduce the potential for damage.

Beware of fingernails as they can pop right through!

Get all the rubber you can up to the crotch area before attempting to fit the top half. Then, before zipping, put your arms in the sleeves, move as much rubber as possible to the shoulder areas by pushing up the arms (assistance is good) and then finally bend forward and move excess rubber from the belly to the chest.

Now you can zip away!
